A relic of the 19th century, this Victorian diamond and blue enamel ring is a study in romance and splendour.

 

At its heart rests a cushion-shaped portrait-cut diamond, a stone faceted with brilliance, depth and intimacy in mind. Its luminous table captures light in a soft, liquid sheen, like candlelight caught though glass; a glimpse into the windowpanes of the past. The diamond is cradled in a silver pinched collet setting, its gentle folds embracing the stone with the delicacy of a gloved hand. This silvery crown rests upon a rich gold mount, the warmth of the metal glowing against the cool clarity of the gem.

 

Along the shoulders, vivid royal blue enamel blooms in smooth, tapering panels; a striking contrast that feels both regal and romantic, stepping down into an 18ct gold band. This is a truly rare and delightful antique ring; an heirloom reminiscent of letters sealed with wax, of promises spoken softly, and of the enduring legacy of something made with love.
