This early 20th-century 18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring captures all the quiet drama of the Edwardian twilight.

 

Three vivid sapphires, each one a decadent, evening blue, are set in a sculpted gold mount, their brilliance intensified by four old-cut diamonds, shimmering like flecks of frost between cornflowers.
