1864 Victorian Rhodolite Garnet Cluster Ring
£795.00

A truly enchanting 19th century garnet and pearl dress ring, crafted in rich 15ct gold and hallmarked circa 1864; this is a jewel of rarity, romance, and refined elegance.

At the heart of this floral-inspired design its lies a delicate split pearl, glowing with a soft, moonlit lustre. Surrounding it are four rhodolite garnet ‘petals’, their vivid red-violet hues capturing the light with a depth and brilliance that feels both regal and deeply romantic; like a rose blooming in the heady air of a summer night. Each stone is set within delicately worked beaded gold settings, their finely detailed edges a testament to the craftsmanship of the period.

In the Victorian era, jewellery was imbued with layers of meaning, with gemstones chosen as much for sentiment as for beauty. Rhodolite garnets, with their deep, wine-like tones, have long symbolised love, passion, and enduring devotion, and were often given as tokens of deep affection. 1864 come straight from the era of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel Little Women – it is not hard to imagine this ring on the hand of one of the sisters.
