This elegant antique turquoise and diamond floral ring is a testament to the romance and grace of the Victorian era. Formed to resemble a forget-me-not flower, symbolic of eternal love and remembrance in the Victorian 'language of flowers,' forget-me-not jewellery was often gifted as a promise of love between sweethearts or as a way to say 'I'll miss you.'

 

Five beautiful cabochon turquoise stones form the petals of this delicate and charming flower, framing the central old cut diamond, glittering bright against the blooms of blue. The 18ct gold band has been decorated with elegant foliate design work to help draw the eye to this beautiful wearable flower.

 

This flower most notoriously earned its name from medieval legend, which tells of a knight gathering forget-me-nots for his lover, who fell into a river and drowned. As he fell, he threw the flowers to her, calling out 'forget me not!'
