A stunning mid Victorian floral cluster ring. This antique beauty features beautiful 18ct gold openwork scroll shoulders, supporting a blooming flower with a purple rhodolite garnet heart, and six pale green chrysoberyl petals.

 

Chrysoberyl is believed to bring confidence, clarity and inner strength to its wearer, and was favoured in the Victorian era for its beautiful colour and incredible lustre.

 

The Victorian Language of Flowers, also known as ‘Floriography’ gave meaning to the colours and shapes of various blooms. Following this trend, the Victorians often used flowers to send hidden messages of sentiment not only in real bouquets, but also in jewellery. Different flowers are known to hold their own unique meanings, and each floral-inspired jewellery piece was exquisitely hand-crafted as a one-of-a-kind piece.
