Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Ring
This dainty early 20th century sapphire and rose-cut diamond floral ring features all the elegance and craftsmanship of the Edwardian era.
A delicate blue sapphire sits centrally as the heart of the flower, framed by six glittering rose-cut diamond petals and offset by shimmering platinum shoulders. The Edwardian daisy ring design came into popularity during the reign of King Edward VII. His wife, Queen Alexandra, had a great passion for flowers, and this inspired the creation of jewellery with floral motifs; namely this cluster-style design, which became known as the ‘daisy ring’ because of its resemblance to the classic, dainty wildflower.
“A flower blossoms for its own joy.”
~ Oscar Wilde
